I am an associate professor (Docent in Physics) leading a team on Quantum Material Device Physics. My research goal is to probe the fundamental physics of charge and spin dynamics in graphene, 2D, and Dirac materials & their heterostructures. We design new nanomagnetic circuits and devices for low power information processing and energy-related applications.

Keywords: graphene two dimensional crystals nanomagnetic systems advanced nanodevices spintronics graphene spintronics

Our research is enabled by funding from European Research Council Consolidator Grant 2020, Swedish Energy Agency, Formas, Olle Engkvist Foundation, Wenner Gren Foundation, VR starting Grant, and Carl-Tryggers Foundation.

In my team, we build devices of graphene, 2D and Dirac crystals, nanomagnetic circuits, and flexible/strainable systems via state-of-the-art nanofabrication techniques and perform high precision charge and spin transport experiments, advanced characterization, and X-ray spectroscopy to generate a fundamental understanding of charge and spin transport in materials, devices, and interfaces. At the same time, our goal is also to explore the possibility of new kinds of components for information processing and energy-related applications.
