Prof. Dr. Maarit Jänterä-Jareborg
Professor of Private International Law with International Civil Procedure, at Uppsala University, since 1998.
Research areas: Private international law in general, foreign law in national courts, comparative family law, European Union regulations, law and religion in a multicultural context, human rights law.
International research group memberships: Commission on European Family Law (CEFL, since 2001 including membership in the steering group); The Impact of Religion: Challenges for Society, Law and Democracy (since 2007), funded at Uppsala University as a Linnaeus Centre of Excellence by the Swedish Research Council.
