Short presentation

I am a lecturer in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies. My academic activities embrace the complex phenomenon religion, media and society. In my dissertation, I examine the term "wasatiyya" by which the famous preacher Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi designates a cultural critique of Western modernity. The term itself actually means moderation!
