PhD. Sociology of Education and Senior Lecturer in Child- and Youth Studies

My research concerns youth and young adults with migration experience and their encounter with the Swedish education system. I am particularly interested in how factors such as class, gender and ethnicity as well as cultural backgrounds affect the practices of different individuals and social groups in and outside different introductory education programmes for newly arrived youth and young adults, as well as the socializing effects of the programmes.
