Short presentation
My primary research areas are urban planning and housing politics, and I am particularly interested in different kinds of expert knowledge and what consequences these might have on life in the city. The hidden power dimensions of words and language as well as the conundrum why good intentions often result in their opposite are main interests of mine. Currently, I analyze economic expertise, and in my doctoral dissertation I examined architectural knowledge and space syntax.
