Short presentation

I am senior lecturer in education. My main research concerns the uses of fiction i schools and in practices of teaching and learning. Other areas of interest are gender studies, queer pedagogy and critical pedagogy. The courses I am teaching in are about diversity, queer pedagogy, comparative literature, children's literature and critical literacy. I am also involved with several projects developing teaching in higher education at Uppsala University.

Biography

The information below concerns my teaching:

I teach mostly lectures, seminars and work as a tutor of essays.

My main discipline is comparative literature, but currently I teach childrens literature and diversity in teaching and learning at the teacher training programmes. I have taught basic courses in rhetoric at The Department of Literature, and at the academic teacher training course at the The Unit of Quality Enhancement and Academic Teaching and Learning.

I believe that the teaching is one of the most important tasks of the university and that it has a great effect on the students’ attitudes of the different disciplines. I believe it is very important to maintain a dialogue between teachers of different generations about how the teaching is structured, the contents and also the development forward. Being a mentor helps me to keep this dialogue going.
