My dissertation project is about female commissioners of architecture in Stockholm 1725–1874. Amongst 13 000 drawings of building permits between 1713–1874 are 559 female commissioners with 650 drawings starting from 1725. The women who are building new houses, rebuilding or making extensions, comes from different ranks in society and erects everything from outhouses with privies and stables, to bowling alleys, gazebos, residences, breweries or rooms for rent.
