Biography

I am a nutritionist and have been working within the eating disorder care for several years. My first article, Eating disorder symptoms pre- and post partum, was published in 2016 and in a way became the start of my research. Today I am a research student and my research is primarily about finding out what pregnant women with eating disorder symptoms expresses about needs and treatment and if they see any barriers seeking help. With that knowledge, we can develop person-centered support and treatment for these women. In parallel with the research, I work clinically as a therapist at Dala ABC, the eating disorder unit for adults in the region of Dalarna. At Dala ABC, I meet patients (mostly pregnant or new mothers) partly individually but also in groups. We have a collaboration with maternal- and child- healthcare within the region of Dalarn. This interdisciplinary collaboration is called Ätsam and includes a care routine written in collaboration between Dala ABC, maternal- and child- healthcare for the women pre- and postpartum with eating disorders and support for clinicians.
