Short presentation

My research field is epistemology of religion, with a specialisation in epistemic trust, testimonial knowledge, and belief in authority.

In my PhD project I investigate epistemic consequences of religious disagreement. I discuss questions such as: Is it possible to find trustworthy religious knowledge in spite of prevalent disagreements among religious authority? If that is the case, who should you trust when you are met by conflicting testimony?

Since September 2022 I am a PhD student in Philosopy of Religion at Uppsala Univeristy. My main supervisor is Mikael Stenmark (UU), and my second supervisor is Kathrin Glüer-Pagin (SU).

Research

My area of specialisation is epistemology of religion. This means that I do research on religious belief, knowledge and understanding. More specifically I investigate issues concerning trust in religious authority as grounds for belief.

I also have a more general interest in other epistemological questions, as well as philosophy of language and metaphilosophy.

As an honourable mention, I am also a fan of Søren Kierkegaard, whom I turn to when all else fails.
