Short presentation
After studying and working at the universities in Istanbul, Munich, Berlin, Berkeley, and Ghent, B. Emek Abali joined the faculty at the Uppsala University. Emek developed expertise in thermodynamical derivation of coupled phenomena involving thermomechanics and electromagnetism in solid bodies and fluids as well as computational continuum mechanics by means of the finite element method (FEM) with the aid of open-source codes developed under the FEniCS project.
