Short presentation
Kateryna Boyko holds a Master degree in Journalism from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University while her second MA degree in Media Studies was obtained at Södertörn University (Stockholm).
The dissertation will focus on torrent file-sharing communities in Russia and Ukraine and in particular on their political and activist potential. Among her research interests are the intersection of entertaining content and politics, identity construction, online communities etc.
