Short presentation
My research is about developmental psychology from a neurobiological perspective. What happens in the brain during development and how do these changes relate to psychological factors such as memory and emotion? Using magnetic resonance imaging, we investigate the concentration of two neurotransmitters: GABA and glutamate, in the dorsal ACC (Anterior cingulate cortex). We also look at how differences in concentration of these neurotransmitters are related to self-rated emotion regulation skills.
