Short presentation

My research interests lie in the identification of new and bioactive natural products from plants with an emphasis on using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and time-dependent density functional theory methods for molecular structure determination.

While my main expertise is plant natural product discovery, I have also worked with both marine invertebrates and bacterial producers of natural products. I also have an interest in using chemical ecology techniques to discover new drugs.

I completed my PhD at Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia in December 2018. I studied under the supervision of Prof. Anthony (Tony) Carroll and Prof. Vicky Avery. My project was focused primarily on anti-malarial drug discovery from Australian flora. I started my postdoc at Uppsala University in December, 2018.
