Hugo Olivares Espinosa

I am a researcher in wind energy focused on the modelling of the atmospheric flow over forested/complex terrains and assessing their influence on the dynamics of the wakes of wind turbines.
Hugo received a Licenciatura (BSc) in Physics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City, in 2006. In 2008 he completed a MSc degree in Physics at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In 2017 he received a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the École de Technologie Supérieure of the University of Quebec, also in Montreal. Since 2016 he has been working as a researcher at the Wind Energy Section of the Department of Earth Sciences in Uppsala University Campus Gotland in Visby, Sweden.
