Kalyani Vemuri was born in Andhra Pradesh, India in the year 1991. She completed her bachelors studies from the Vellore Institute of Technology, India in 2014 and in 2016 she received her master degree in Molecular Medicine from Uppsala University, Sweden. in 2017, she began her PhD studies under the supervision of Prof. Anna Dimberg at Uppsala University and in 2022, she successfully defended her thesis titled "CD93 in regulation of vascular function and tumour progression". Kalyani is now employed as a post-doc in the lab of Assoc. prof Anna-Karin Olsson where she is currently studying the effects of primary tumour on the peripheral vasculature.
