Short presentation
Dr. Reuterswärd's research focuses on gender and politics with particular emphasis on the politics of gender policy in developing contexts. Within this area, her work centers on party politics, social movements, and religious institutions with an empirical focus on Latin America. She has published work in Social Politics, Latin American Politics and Society, and Development & Change, among other outlets. Prior to coming to Uppsala, she was a Research Fellow at IDS, University of Sussex.

Dr Reuterswärd obtained her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2019 and begun a post-doctoral fellowship at the SCRIPTS Cluster, Freie Universität zu Berlin, the same year. Prior to joining the Department of Government at Uppsala University, she was a Research Fellow at the Governance Cluster at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex. She holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science with emphasis on Development Studies from Uppsala University.
