Biography
Research interests
Primarily 20th century Aesthetics, History of ideas and Art history.
PhD Thesis
I have been a PhD student in Aesthetics at the University of Uppsala since february 2011, and I am working on a thesis on the relationship between art and aesthetics. More precisely, I am interested in what can be seen as a theoretic turn in the field of aestheticstowardsanti-aesthetic in the 60s onward. I examine artists that are closely connected to this theoretic turn, like Hans Haacke and Thomas Hirschhorn. The working title of my PhD thesis is The Dismantling of the Aesthetic Conventions. Aesthetics and Anti-aesthetics.
