I work with instrument and method development in the field of soft x-ray emission spectroscopy. I am currently acting project leader for the buildup of the VERITAS beamline at MAX IV Laboratory in Lund.

I have been active in the division for Molecular and Condensed Matter Physics since 1999 when I, as an undergraduate student, started doing summer projects, designing and simulating experimental setups for gas phase measurements. Later I was admitted as a PhD student on a department grant (grad U) focusing on doubly excited states in Helium and Lithium. During this time I came to be heavily involved with the operation and maintenance of the divisions x-ray spectrometers and the PRT beamline I511 at MAX-Lab. After finishing my PhD in 2006 I have stayed on as an expert on x-ray emission spectroscopy instrumentation, building and commissioning several new instruments. Lately I have been responsible for managing the Veritas beamline project at MAX IV laboratory, including development of novel mirror systems, experimental chambers and a 10m high resolution x-ray spectrometer.
