Kort presentation

Denna text finns inte på svenska, därför visas den engelska versionen.

In my research I apply neutron scattering methods to current challenges in material science. The goal is to relate macroscopic emergence to the structure and dynamics on molecular length scales. The focus is on soft mater, in particular complex liquids and their viscoelastic properties, as well as on magnetic and energy materials. In order to enable new research directions I am driving neutron instrument and method developments.

  • Solid - Liquid interface
  • Self organisation
  • Rheology
  • Surface coatings
  • Dynamics

Magnetism

  • Thin films and superlattices
  • Nanoparticles

Hydrogen in metals

  • Thin films and superlattices
  • Phase transitions
  • Diffusion

Scattering techniques and instrumentation

  • Polarised neutron scattering
  • Grazing incident scattering
