Forskning

My thesis project focuses on downshifting and voluntary simplicity in Sweden, lifestyles where people intend to reduce work-time and consumption to enable a better work-life balance and reduce their ecological impact. The project explores the motivations and experiences of these lifestyles, trying to understand in what ways they might be gendered.
