Subhabrata Mukhopadhyay did his PhD with Prof. Samar K Das at UoH, India (2014-2020). His doctoral work comprised synthesis and electrochemical studies of MOF for application in alternate energy research. After completing PhD, he worked with Prof. Idan Hod on electrochemical CO2 reduction at BGU, Israel during postdoc. He has joined the Ott group as a postdoc in 2022. His present research focuses on the effect of proton management on charge propagation. He enjoys photography outside lab.
I have strong research background in porous 3D materials and their electrochemical applications. I have extensively used heterogeneous electrochemical techniques for oxygen evolution reaction (OER), hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), CO2 reduction reaction (CO2 RR) and conductivity studies for probable fuel cell application. I have working experience with photo-electrochemical techniques and advanced in-operando spectro-electrochemical techniques while investigating CO2 reduction performance of heterogeneous catalysts modified by MOFs. Throughout my research career I have worked with different heterogeneous porous materials to utilized them for application in sustainable energy research.
