My research interests are mainly in large-scale diversification patterns and how biotic and abiotic interactions shaped the diversity we observe today. I also would like to better understand the molecular environmental diversity and what it represents, its phylogenetic relationships, and its ecological preferences.
With Fabien Burki, I will try to connect the phylogeny of both environmental and described sequences to some of the main ecological adaptations during eukaryotic diversification.
