Forskning

Denna text finns inte på svenska, därför visas den engelska versionen.

Apart from intrinsic material characteristics, the performance of electrochemical systems is determined by the structure of electrodes (including particle morphology of active materials, porosity, and surface area), and stability of electrode-electrolyte interfaces. My current research focuses on the (1) fabrication of battery electrodes with controlled morphology and three-dimensional architectures in an effort to boost energy and power densities, and (2) understanding the nature and evolution of interfaces in such systems. I have worked on different research areas like the

  • design and fabrication of 3D-microstructured electrodes for use in miniature devices,
  • synthesis of carbon aerogels-reinforced carbon fibre fabric electrodes for structural supercapacitors
  • design and characterization of lithium- and potassium-based dual-ion batteries,
  • investigation of the stability of concentrated-salt electrolytes (HCEs) at high voltages, and
  • stabilization of graphite-electrolyte interfaces in dual-ion batteries.

I have expertise in a variety of electrochemical and physical characterization techniques including gas adsorption analysis, electron microscopy, Raman and FTIR spectroscopy, XPS, XRD (powder and GIXRD), and so on.
