Francesco Ciabuschi is Professor of International Business at Uppsala University’s Department of Business Studies.

He has been also deputy head of department and director of research. He has a PhD in International Business from Uppsala University.

He teaches at the undergraduate, graduate, executive MBA, and doctoral programs. He is also a Graduate and PhD thesis supervisor.

Francesco Ciabuschi is Professor of International Business at Uppsala University’s Department of Business Studies.

Currently he is leading the following two projects based at Uppsala University:

-Value-ABP (Value Creation in the Fight Against Antibiotic Resistance: Exploring the roles of Business Actors in International Multisectoral Partnerships). Financed by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond

-SMNC Management (Reverse Knowledge Transfer in State-Owned Multinationals. A Study of Political Embeddedness). Partly financed by Handelsbankens Forskningsstiftelserna.

Ciabuschi is also an academic leader and member of the DRIVE-AB project (Driving Re-Investigation in R&D and Responsible Antibiotic Use). DRIVE-AB is a European project sponsored by IMI (http://drive-ab.eu/)

He has been deputy head of department and director of research for the department, coordinator of the Ph.D. Program NORD-IB (Nordic Research School of International Business), and member of Cost Action IS0905 "The Emergence of Southern Multinationals and their Impact on Europe".

He teaches at the undergraduate, graduate, executive MBA, and doctoral programs. He is also a Graduate and Ph.D. thesis supervisor.

Ciabuschi received his Ph.D. in International Business from Uppsala University. He has been visiting scholar at several universities and institutions, among which INSEAD (France), Bologna University (Italy), Cattolica University of Milan (Italy) and Stanford University (USA).

Ciabuschi has published in many international journals and in a number of books/ anthologies. His research interests concern international management, corporate strategy, business models, innovation management, state-owned multinational corporations, knowledge development and transfer in multinational corporations, HQs roles, subsidiary development, new ventures and business formation. He is particularly interested in the pharmaceutics, motor and paper industries.
